Visual Arts 5pm to 2am LITMLITM presents  "Imagine,” a solo show of paintings and sculptures by Ronnie Mae Painter. A native New Yorker, Painter’s risky approach to making art embodies her experience as a woman of mixed African and Italian descent. She gathers discarded materials for her sculptures mined from the city streets like Chakaia Booker and her fluid paintings sometimes channel Jean-Michel Basquiat. GRIGORY GUREVICH STUDIO GALLERY presents an open studio (5pm-8pm) featuring magic book demostrations, an amazing piece of artwork breaking all borders of previously known forms of art. Plus work by outstanding young artist, 14 yr. old Alexander Gurevich, with Abe Blashko and Anatoly Kaplan. Performance 6pm-9pm NIMBUS DANCE WORKS and JCITY THEATERNIMBUS present an open rehearsal of their upcoming Dance/Theater collaboration “Love Is Worse Than Sickness” (to be premiered at Nimbus’ Grace Church performances June 8th and 9th). JD Fleishman is right on target with a baker's dozen of spicy spirals constructed from poppyseeds, cumin, sea salt, fenugreek, cinnamon, turmeric and allspice, culled from the artist's 2005 series Bull's-Eye.
