Ramos works primarily in pen and ink, and her latest work is influenced by fashion illustration, patent medicine packaging, and Late Victorian conceptualizations of disaster and divine retribution. These postcard-sized pieces create objects of memory from things best forgotten, but they also contain and isolate loci of fear and finality.
