- Idritsa Specialized Orphanage, Pskov region - grant for
a minibus, vocational training program, as well as
equipment for sewing, agricultural, painting/plastering and
cooking classes.
- St. Alexis School and Orphanages, Novoalexeevka - grant
toward a minibus, construction of a brick building and shower
facilities for children, washing machines, and dryer.
- Pavsky specialized orphanage, Pskov region - grant for

- "Preodolenie-L" Center for Vocational and Creative
Rehabilitation of Disabled Children, Moscow - grant to cover
food expenses for 65 children.
- "Inspiration" Rehabilitation Center, Nicolskoe
Gagarino - grant for equipment and supplies for workshops,
transportation expenses, furniture, clothing, toys, books,
and food for children.
- Charitable Foundation "Our Help," St. Petersburg
- grant for educational and cultural outings for orphans
and disabled children to various museums, parks and palaces
in the St. Petersburg region.
- Rehabilitation Art Center "Maria's Children," Moscow
- grant for vocational and independent living trainings,
art supplies, and food.

- Russian Orthodox School, Tutaev - grant for supplies
and equipment for art, sewing, and cabinet making workshops;
food; and renovation of school facilities.
- St. Nicholas Classical School, Kislovodsk - grant for
computer equipment, renovation expenses, textbooks, medication,
vitamins, and food for 218 students.
- Pushkin School, Novomoskovsk - grant for renovation of
the school facilities, computers, textbooks, and office supplies.

Grant-making
Statistics for 2003
In 2003, 90% of the Society's grants were awarded to organizations
in Russia, benefiting thousands of disadvantaged children. RCWS provided
funding to 14 orphanages and homeless shelters, 4 hospitals, 8 rehabilitation
centers, 3 schools, and 1 homeless shelter.
Support for émigré families comprised 10% of our giving
in 2003. The geographic distribution of these funds is as follows:
7% in South America and 3% in the USA. This aid is meant to help
these families meet the most basic of needs as they settle in a new country.
Grant-making Statistics for 2002
In 2002, 89% of the Society's grants were awarded to organizations
in Russia, benefiting thousands of disadvantaged children. RCWS provided funding
to 12 orphanages, 3 hospitals, 5 rehabilitation centers, 4 schools, and 1 homeless
shelter.
Support for émigré families comprised 11% of our giving in
2002. The geographic distribution of these funds is as follows: 7.7%
in South America, 2% in the USA, and 1.3% in Europe. This aid is meant to
help these families meet the most basic of needs as they settle in a new
country.
